SUMMARY:League of Women Voters to present November ballot measures in Coronado
DESCRIPTION:The Coronado Democratic Club will welcome the League of Women Voters of San Diego on Saturday\, October 3\, for a special presentation examining the state propositions and local measures appearing on the November 3 ballot. \nGina Gianzero of the League of Women Voters of San Diego will present a nonpartisan overview designed to help voters better understand the measures they will be asked to consider in November. \nFor each proposition and measure\, the presentation will examine what the measure would do\, how it would change existing law\, who benefits\, potential costs and who would pay them\, as well as who supports and opposes the measure\, and who is funding the campaigns on each side. \nThe program will be held at the Coronado Boathouse\, 1985 Strand Way\, overlooking Glorietta Bay. \nDoors will open at 10:30 a.m. for the Coronado Democratic Club’s customary social gathering\, with the League of Women Voters presentation beginning at 11 a.m. The program will conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m. \nAttendees are encouraged to bring any election materials they have received from the San Diego County Registrar of Voters or the California Secretary of State so they can follow along during the presentation. \nThe League of Women Voters provides voters with nonpartisan information and analysis about ballot measures. The October 3 presentation will give Coronado voters an opportunity to learn more about the propositions and measures they will see on the November ballot as they prepare to vote.
