DESCRIPTION:The intention of the presentation will be to have parents and caregivers have the answers to the following questions: \n\nWhat is resilience?\nHow can parents better support children\, and themselves\, becoming more resilient?\nWhy\, especially in this day and age\, is building resilience important?\n\nOur speaker for this presentation is Dr. Katherine Williams\, a psychologist at Rady Children’s Hospital. As a child and adolescent psychologist at a large children’s hospital and top-ranked large public university\, Dr. Williams has created a pediatric child and adolescent anxiety and OCD clinic\, developed an autism assessment program across five sites\, and co-authored a nationally-lauded treatment book\, The Building Blocks of Resiliency.
