DESCRIPTION:Bands\, floats\, balloons\, drill teams and more! Image: Port of San Diego\nThe Port of San Diego is set to host over 100\,000 visitors and residents on the Embarcadero for this year’s Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade – America’s largest balloon parade! Presented by Kaiser Permanente\, the Holiday Bowl Parade marches along the San Diego Bay waterfront on Friday\, December 27 at 10 a.m. \n“The Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade is a cherished holiday tradition that draws tens of thousands of visitors and residents to our bayfront each year\,” said Chairman Frank Urtasun\, Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners. “I am excited for the public to enjoy this year’s balloons\, floats\, live music\, and more. We are proud to continue delivering on our promise to provide a clean\, safe\, and vibrant waterfront for all to enjoy. SUMMARY:Play Fairy: Creative Play for Kids
DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy a magical free play zone at the Library! Back by popular demand\, the Play Fairy will create an open-ended play land for children of all ages. Children are invited to experience the joys and complexities of life through play in a safe environment. Using loose parts to encourage deep exploration\, children are guided by their own curiosity as they play\, build\, and create freely. This unstructured play supports confidence\, socialization\, and pure imagination. \n\n\nLibby DeGregorio is the creator of Play Fairy. She is an educator and playworker in San Diego with a background in early childhood education\, biology\, and design. Inspired by the philosophy of unobtrusive playwork\, she strives to be supportive yet invisible\, allowing children the freedom to explore their inner and outer self. She’s passionate about building community and creating spaces where children are trusted and feel empowered to lead. \n
