Instead\, they stumbled upon a soup of free-floating microplastics\, a discovery that shocked the team and defied all expectations. \nThe discovery prompted a four-year global odyssey and “deep dive” into the issue of plastics in our oceans\, and a search for the solutions that can save us. A Plastic Ocean is the telling of this team’s winding and courageous journey. \n\n \n
