DESCRIPTION:This June\, as the checkered flag goes down on the inaugural NASCAR San Diego Weekend\, the Coronado Island Film Festival (CIFF) will celebrate with a special  screening of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (PG-13). \nThe screening will take place at the Coronado Performing Arts Center\, 650 D Avenue. Doors open at 7 pm and the film begins at 7:45 pm. General admission is $10 and  a limited number of “Pit Crew” VIP Sponsor Packages are available for $200. \n \nTICKETS ON SALE HERE

DESCRIPTION:Coronado’s Liberty Celebration Swim (formerly 4th of July Rough Water Swim) has long been an iconic way to celebrate our nation’s independence. The event will take place on July 5 in Glorietta Bay Park in Coronado. \nThis open water swim offers a distance for every swimmer and experience level\, including: \n\nYouth 250 M Dash\n750 M\n1.5 Km\n3 Km\n\nSet against the iconic backdrop of the Coronado Bridge\, the course is nested in the southwest corner of Glorietta Bay Park\, where wave\, wake\, and current impacts are generally low. That makes this race both fun and competitive for a wide range of athletic levels\, and especially welcoming for swimmers who are new to the open water scene. \nAll participants receive a finisher medal\, souvenir swim cap\, and race t-shirt.
