SUMMARY:Jack Carr Author Event
DESCRIPTION:#1 New York Times bestselling author and former Navy SEAL Jack Carr will be in person in Coronado in a Library event on the evening of May 19. Jack Carr’s first book\, The Terminal List\, is set in Coronado and will be aired on Amazon Prime Video in July this year starring Chris Pratt. He is also the author of True Believer\, Savage Son\, and The Devil’s Hand and the host of the Danger Close Podcast. Carr will be discussing his latest book\, the thriller In the Blood. To accommodate a larger audience\, the Library will be using the Grand Room at the next door Spreckels Center\, to host the event from 7 to 8:30 pm. Entry is free on a first come\, first served basis. Books will be available for sale at the event for the author to sign. \nAbout the book\, In the Blood: \nA woman boards a plane in the African country of Burkina Faso having just completed a targeted assassination for the state of Israel. Two minutes later\, her plane is blown out of the sky. \nOver 6\,000 miles away\, former Navy SEAL James Reece watches the names and pictures of the victims on cable news. One face triggers a distant memory of a Mossad operative attached to the CIA years earlier in Iraq–a woman with ties to the intelligence services of two nations…a woman Reece thought he would never see again. \nReece enlists friends new and old across the globe to track down her killer\, unaware that he may be walking into a deadly trap. \nThis program is free and seating is general-admission; however\, if you would like to pre-order a book and get priority seating\, please call Warwick’s at 858-454-0347.
