DESCRIPTION:Coronado Real Estate Association\, CREA CARES will host a collection drive to support the Alpha Project\, a local nonprofit human services organization\, requesting donation items be dropped off in the parking lot on D Avenue behind the US Bank (800 Orange Ave). \nThe Alpha Project is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) with a mission to empower individuals\, families\, and communities by providing work\, recovery\, and support services to people who are motivated to change their lives and achieve self-sufficiency. Alpha Project operates numerous programs serving over 4\,000 people daily. The agency has created over 600 units of affordable rental housing projects and sponsors homeownership programs. \nCREA’s donations will be delivered directly to the Alpha Project’s outreach center\, the Temporary Bridge Shelter\, located at 1535 Newton Ave\, San Diego\, CA 92113. Donation items can be dropped off directly at this location throughout the year. In addition\, donations can be made online directly to the Alpha Project (alphaproject.org/how-to-help/donate.html). Monetary donations by check can be made payable to: The Alpha Project\, Tax ID 33-02-15585. \nDue to the Temporary Bridge Shelter housing only men and women 18 years and older\, children’s clothing is not requested. Donation items needed include: \n\nHygiene products\nTowels\, twin sheets\, pillows\, and blankets\nMen’s and women’s clothing in good condition (no children’s please)\nCoats\nShoes\nNew socks\nNew underwear\n\nCREA is a member’s only group composed of REALTORS® and Affiliates\, who provide an array of services within the Real Estate Industry. DESCRIPTION:Gather outdated documents\, safely recycle your e-waste\, and take home a beautifully decorated pumpkin while supporting our community. \n \nCoronado Woman’s Club (CWC) members recently gathered to decorate pumpkins which will be available for purchase at the CWC Shredding & E-Waste Fundraiser on Saturday\, October 10\, from 10 am to 12 pm at the US Bank parking lot on D Avenue\, near 8th Street. \n \nSafely drop off paper documents ($8/bag suggested donation) and electronic waste such as computers\, cords\, batteries\, and phones\, and take home a one-of-a-kind pumpkin to add to your fall decor. Pumpkins will be priced according to size\, and proceeds will be used to support CWC’s philanthropic work in the community. \nCWC is celebrating its 80th year and will culminate in March with special events. Shredding events are one of the club’s significant fundraisers with donations raised supporting the community through philanthropic and educational programs\, supporting local organizations\, and providing scholarships for graduating Coronado High seniors. \n  \nCWC thanks Blue Bridge Hospitality for underwriting this community fundraiser as well as hosting the monthly luncheons at Stake. Through stories\, cultural materials\, artwork\, and traditional practices\, the exhibit highlights the enduring connections between Luiseño people and the land. \nThis exhibit honors Luiseños’ ancestors\, celebrates cultural knowledge\, and recognizes the generations who continue to live\, teach\, create\, and carry our heritage forward. The exhibit runs from Oct. 1 through Jan. 10\, 2027.
