By moving these treasures from private garages into CHA’s professional archives\, 100 years of “Service Above Self” is protected and accessible for generations to come. \nThe archives and artifacts in the exhibit show how a century of dedication has nurtured the civic and cultural fabric of Coronado\, from local youth programs to international humanitarian efforts. While Georgie worries about her grandfather in the hospital\, she discovers an old story he once wrote: the magical tale of two fantastical creatures: Goyo and Gato. With help from her new BFF Inez\, Georgie finds the courage to face her reading challenges and brings the story to life — just in time for the Festival de Primavera. Launched in 1987\, the POP Tour can be accessed by schools\, libraries and community centers. Prior to each performance\, a Playhouse teaching artist visits each school\, either in person or virtually\, to engage students in an interactive workshop that explores issues and themes at the core of the play. The Playhouse also provides schools with an interactive standards-based engagement guide that enables educators to integrate the play into their curriculum\, including exciting interviews with the cast and the creative team. Ideal for students in grades 3 – 6.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday Art Class for Kids takes place twice a month. Join Samira Ross for a special St. Patrick’s Day clay class. \nFor ages 5 through 12. Materials will be provided. Make sure kids are dressed in clothing they can get messy. \nRegistration for kids is encouraged but not required*. This class is limited to 20 kids\, register to secure your spot but don’t hesitate to drop by day of instead. Parents/caregivers do not need to register. Please register each child separately. \n*There is a 10 minute grace period for registrants. After that\, unless noted in registration that you will be late\, your spot may be given to a walk-in.  \nAll children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
