Chef Throwdown at The Del

Hotel del Coronado’s expansive Windsor Lawn will provide the setting for this unforgettable gourmet gathering, where 30 of the best chefs from San Diego and Mexico will present signature hors d’oeuvres or desserts at individual stations. Judged by the ever-growing Culinary Council that includes such names as Brian Malarkey, Claudia Sandoval, Troy Johnson, Tommy Gomes, Jack Ford, Andre Zotoff, Michele Parente and Lead Judge Richard Sandoval, chefs will also present their best bites with the goal of winning the Chef Flor Franco Award for Culinary Excellence, in addition to some incredible prizes. All proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its on-going mission to cure cystic fibrosis and provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives.

Individual tickets are $150 per person and include event entry, food prepared by 30 of San Diego and Baja’s best chefs, beer, wine and spirit pairings, and complimentary self-parking or a discounted valet parking ($20). (Parking at The Del is limited. Ride sharing is encouraged.)
VIP tickets are $250 per person and include early entry to the event (starting at 5pm to 6pm), meet-and-greet with Culinary Council, food prepared by 30 of San Diego and Baja’s best chefs, beer, wine and spirit pairings, complimentary valet parking, reserved VIP tables, concierge service, and front-of-line access throughout the night.

About the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Last year’s event in San Diego helped raise over $60,000 for the CFF with this year’s Chef Throwdown set to be the biggest and most successful yet. The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
