The Coronado Recreation Department strives to offer activities for everyone in Coronado who want to learn a new skill or explore new experiences.
Our youngest community members can try out DANCE (in Kinderdance with Me on Tuesdays); MUSIC (in Babies, Tots and Kinders Keeping Tempo on Mondays); ART (in Babies and Toddlers are Messy on Fridays); MOVEMENT (in Kindertots Mommy and Me and Stretch & Strength for Mother and Child on Tuesdays): and PLAY (in Playmania on Mon, Tues, Wed or Thurs) in classes that offer age appropriate exposure to a variety of enrichment activities for babies and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years. (Note that many of these classes, but not all require parent participation).
Environments for Exploration are offered for preschoolers in areas including SCIENCE (with Little STEAMers on Mondays); MATH & ART (with the Counting Rainbow on Tuesdays); SELF DISCOVERY (with Muddy Boots on Wednesdays and Outdoor Exploration on Fridays); MOVEMENT (with Mini Gym on Tuesdays and KinderGym on Thursdays) and DANCE (with Move 2 the Beat on Mondays and KinderDance on Tues and Thurs). These classes are specially designed for 3 to 5 year olds to challenge and inspire them in preparation for future learning in school.
In addition to these classes, the Recreation Department has enrichment opportunities for school age children, teens and adults.
