Ready to get moving? The Spreckels Center has a fitness class to fit your needs. Join us for Strength, Balance and Flexibility on Mondays, September 17 and 24, 9:15-10:15 a.m. This is a full body workout that can done almost entirely in a chair. A variety of balance, weight resistance and strengthening exercises are designed to build muscle while stretching lengthens those muscles and increases your range of motion. $10 for residents, $15 for nonresidents. If you’re looking to take your stretching to a whole new level then try out Restorative Beginning Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:15-10:15 a.m., from September 4 – 27 (no class Sept 11 or 13). $45 for residents/$55 for nonresidents.
Tai Chi is an ancient martial art that offers amazing health benefits for both mind and body. Join us on Wednesdays, September 7-28 at 9:10-10:10 a.m. for a new form of exercise that results in better function of the muscles, bones, hearts, lungs and blood circulation. $32 for residents, $42 for nonresidents.
Zumba Gold is here! Hate exercise but love music and dance? Then join us for this low impact cardio fitness class which incorporates music and moves inspired by salsa, merengue, swing dance, cumbia and many more. Class takes place on Fridays, September 7-28 from 10-11 a.m. $24 for residents, $29 for nonresidents.
